What's Your Day Job - Meet K!

This week I'm introducing you to the lovely K - a blogging business owner living in London. I'll let her tell you more about herself and her day job - which I know you will love.

Name: K for short :)

Age: 32

A few facts about you: After living in Melbourne for most of my life, at 27 I decided to pick up my life and move to London. I met my husband pretty much straight away and we got married 3 years later in Tuscany, Italy. I love my family, food, travelling, shopping and singing.

What's your job? I am the founder of Little Bump Shop www.littlebumpshop.com. I make and sell baby clothes bouquets in my online store which essentially look like a flower display but are packed with baby essentials like socks, vests, muslin squares, bibs and hats.

How long have you been doing it? I've been working on it for about 18 months, but I only went live at the end of May this year. Starting a business from scratch is hard work and I'm so happy to have now launched it.

What do you like best about it? I am able to use my creativity in most parts of my business. From the bouquet arrangements, to the photography, marketing strategies to designing the website. The opportunity to be creative is endless and I love it.

What is the worst thing about it? There are so many elements about running your own business and it's not all about the fun stuff. There's all of the administration and managing the finance that I find a bit tedious some times. Luckily my husband is great at this so if it all get's a bit much I pass that stuff over to him.

Would you recommend it? Starting my own business has been the best thing I've ever done career wise. My professional background involves business management, managing sales teams and more recently HR. All of my roles have been very full on so it's lovely investing all my time in energy into something that is completely my baby.

What's your dream job? My dream was to always run my own business so I feel pretty lucky to say, I am doing it!

Would you carry on if you won the lottery? Definitely. No matter how much money I had I think I would always need to use the business side of my brain. If I won the lottery I would use the opportunity to invest in the growth of the business, hire an amazing team to help me run in and dip in and out whilst I was living a luxurious lifestyle travelling the world.
