Keeping Motivated: September Weightloss

I can't believe it is September already. Where did august go? Where did summer go!? Weight loss wise, I had the most successful month I've had in a while with a really good loss.

Firstly a reminder of the goals I set in last months update, which were;

Lose 0.5lbs per week

Over August I actually lost a whopping 20.5 pounds! I feel so much better and really notice a difference now. I still have days where I feel exactly the same as when I started, so pictures act as a great reminder of how far I've come.

Eat salad, keep active, relax

I can honestly say this last month I have felt happier and more relaxed than I have in donkeys years. As I mentioned in my New You trial (that took up half of August) it made me feel really energetic and happy. I've tried to be a little more active, walking our dog Peg and taking the kids out more. I've got back on salads. I rarely actually fancy them, but once I start tucking in they are all good.

My main motivation has been my Instagram account and the people on there that I follow/that follow me. If you're not on there, you really should be! Such a good community.

So I'm leaving August over 20lbs lighter, happier  in my own skin and feeling healthier with  much improved breathing and increased energy - amazing!

For September, my goals will be simple and straight forward;

I want to lose an average of 1lb a week until Christmas which will get me near the 12 stone bracket, that I have not seen for over ten years, so a pound a week off this month. I also want to eat fewer carbs. This is not in some vain attempt to lose more weight but more that I feel awful after lots of carbs; bloated, sick, upset tummy. I'm hoping fewer carbs will keep up the good feeling that I have retained coming off the New You plan.

Wish me luck, though I hope I won't need it! Feeling motivated and happy and just a little lighter .

Total weight loss since August 2014 - 4 stone 5 pounds (61 lbs). Slow and steady!
