Well Hello There 2016...

I hope everyone has enjoyed their last day of 2015 so far and is looking forward to the new year ahead. This year has been amazing in so many ways and sad in others. Put it all together in one big 2015 flavoured sandwich though and it showed us that we need to make the most of every day and realise how lucky we are with all the things we have, people we have close and the good health we are blessed with.

I'm not about to spout on with some 'new year new me' type cliché, but I will continue to change in 2016 into the person I want to be, which is actually just me but without the restrictions of anxiety, hang ups on what others think or any self doubt or loathing from me. Something that comes with age I think - I guess there has to be some pluses to balance out the emerging wrinkles and dodgy hips! This year has taught me to be more positive, appreciative and to look after myself and be kind to myself as well as others.  That has made a big difference for me, I wish it had happened years ago!

So next year I want more of the same. I want more fun, more love, more laughter, better health, better wealth (who doesn't?) and the ability to continue to see the good in every day. I will have a bucket list for the year, but I won't be making all the usual resolutions only to break them in a weeks time. I just want to live life and enjoy it with my family.

Who knows what the new year will bring, but let's hope it's a good one for us all and take it by the horns. 2016 - come at me.

Happy new years everyone!
