My Happy Days List

Last year I started writing a weekly gratitude list and for some reason it kind of fizzled out at some point. I really need to focus on the positive at the moment and all the things that bring me happiness in my day, so I thought I would link up with the Happy Days linky and look back on my week and all the things that made me happy.

I've had a few rough weeks lately, but there is always so much to be thankful for and so much happiness around, even if at times you have to look for it. Here is my happy day's list for this week.

My Happy Days List

  • Spring has arrived. This time of year is my favourite for so may reasons and it's starting to look bright and colourful out there too.

  • I felt heat from the actual sunshine! I even got to hang some washing out - yes this excites me far more than it should.
  • I got to show the kids how to play hopscotch, JUST like when I was a kid in the playground.
  • I made my first proper big succesful Sunday roast including Yorkshire puddings from scratch which I haven't made before - it was amazing and I am going to try and cook more as my husband is always the chef, but I actually really enjoy it.

  • I went to a blogger event, met Linda Barker and some great PR people and bloggers. It was a family event so I loved to see the kids and Adam enjoy themselves too. My son A was a total show off to everybody especially the cameraman, I can't wait to see the footage.

  • I was getting down about feeling a little tubby again but had to step back and think - I have lost five stone and that is something to be proud of. I have a long way to go but I really should feel happy about how far I've come! I also lost 3 lbs last week.

  • I've loved drawing again and feel really excited that maybe I can do something with it to add to my 'job' from home.

  • I feel so proud of my children right now, they are just so sweet and lovely and funny and make me laugh every day, even on those days where everything seems like hard work.

  • I'm feeling more me and feeling inspired for the first time in years.
  • I have taken a huge step forward with my blog which I will tell you about soon, I am excited and happy and that's all I can say!

That's it for this week. What's made you happy?

  1. I'm so glad to read that so many others are excited by hanging out their washing haha! I totally need to teach the boys how to play hopscotch, I've not done that since I was about 10! Thanks for linking up to #HappyDaysLinky x
