My Happy Days List

My Happy Days List - welsh rarebit, naps and birthday cake!

I've been house bound for this whole week with my dodgy back, but I'm determined to turn it all around for our family trip to Wales tomorrow. I'm focusing on all those little silver linings that have put a smile on my face this week.

I've had a fun blog week and a 'whatever I fancy' food week, which is a completely lethal on the waist line but needed to be done and I enjoyed every second of it!

My Happy Days List

  • People being caring and kind and genuinely worried for me, this shouldn't come as a surprise but it's been really refreshing!

  • Managing to make my husband a delicious birthday cake with the help of Alf. It was agony standing for so long but so worth it.

  • Eating lots of birthday cake! You knew that was coming right?

  • Coping with the worst pain I've ever been in, like a BOSS!

  • Seeing more of my parents than normal as they helped with kids and seeing how much the kids loved it.

  • Friends helping with the school runs and offering help left right and centre, I actually am surrounded by lovely people.

  • Day time naps. All be it medication induced naps and waking in pain, but a nap is a nap and it's one of my all time favourite things to do!

  • Physio therapist squeezing me in. She moved her appointments around just for me, she is so lovely and although I walked in and crawled out, she put everything back where it should be and loosened up my muscles which will help in the long run.

  • Sunshine (followed by snow?). Bizarre weather but I'm not complaining as I loved seeing the sun and it felt like summer through the bedroom window! I finally got to spend the day like a cat, on the bed basking in the sunlight.

  • Soph talking like a pro. Soph will be two in July and her talking over the last few weeks has changed dramatically, she can just talk, full sentences, she can dob her big brother in for stealing her biscuits and tell us what she wants to do. We are blown away!

  • Alf being super grown up about going to school without me. He was so grown up this week, accepting that I was pretty much useless and walking down the hill between me and my friend to school he looked so big. We find out his school place tonight and I am so nervous that he is so close to going.

  • My handsome husband turning 32 and being happy despite having to look after us all and getting no presents from me as I'd stupidly left it until the last minute!

  • Receiving some amazing review products! It's hard work writing up all the reviews, but sometimes you just get the chance for things that are so lovely, intriguing or exciting you just have to say yes! I have a few things this week that I am really excited about, definitely a blogger perk and a half!
Finally getting outside for the first time this week!

That's it for this week. I genuinely feel happy to have just made it through the week, I've been so poorly! I have everything crossed that we can go on our holiday next week and if we make it there I think I will have the longest happy list ever next week! It's so lovely where we are staying and we have our own little beach to play on if it's nice - heaven!

Me. Here. Please!

Have a great week!
