101 Ideas For Summer Family Fun - The Best Of British

Summer summer summer time...

With the gorgeous long sunny days and warm bright evenings, it's just about time to start planning our summer family adventures. How on earth am I going to fill those six weeks holidays with enough fun to take the edge off Alf starting big school in September?

If like me you're not working with the biggest of budgets for your family, you can check out this handy little ebook created by over 101 of the Best British Bloggers. With hundreds of activities, destinations, and just general fun. Each of the ideas has been tested by a blogger just like me and is full to the brim of budget friendly family days out that won't cost the earth. I was delighted to be a part of the book and love all the other ideas.

101 Ideas for Having Fun with the Kids this Summer

My suggestion for the book was to go back to the 'Old School' with our kids, reliving all those simple pleasures in the great outdoors meaning we can get all nostalgic reliving our youth, while the children have fun and learn a little more about us grown ups.

There are some great ideas for days out in the ebook countrywide, as well as some fun activities you can simply do at home with a little less planning!  Top of my to do list are;

  • Making ice lollies at home
  • Arboretum picnics
  • Jurassic coast hunt
  • Peppa Pig world
  • Exploring Dartmoor (visiting in July!)

What are your summer favourites?
