Daim Tasty! // Win Almondy Prizes Worth £30 !

It's DAIM Tasty!

We love our desserts in this house and when we have any kind of family occasion, the puddings feature heavily as a firm favourite part of the day. I was recently contacted to see if we would like to try out a slightly different sweet treat from Almondy and we couldn't wait to tuck into this one! Some reviews are just made to be eaten.

Almondy are a range of frozen Swedish desserts that defrost in just 30 minutes, making them perfect in an emergency having guests dropping by unexpectedly - don't you just hate that?

We opted for the delicious Daim cake as Daim bars are one of my all time favourites and we often stock up on them when we visit a certain Swedish furniture store! For some reason though, we've never tried the Daim cake, so I couldn't wait to taste the joys of Daim & cake together. My sweet treat for the week - I did share...

The base of the cake is made using a traditional Swedish recipe dating from the 1890's and as it doesn’t use flour, it is naturally gluten free as well as being suitable for vegetarians. The topping on the Daim cake combines delicious crunchy caramel pieces smothered in creamy milk chocolate – delicious!

This cake is so light and tasty, we even tried it it still a little bit frozen (yay for the patience of a toddler) and it was amazing, but even better if you can ride out the 30 minute wait for a full defrost. This one just has to be tried for yourself and is the perfect freezer filler for all those cake needy days, like Tuesdays, Saturdays, the cat's birthday... You get the idea.

Almondy kindly offered one lucky reader the chance to win one of their fun prize packages pictured above, worth £30. There's even an alarm clock to help count down those defrosting minutes!

If you'd like to win this bundle of goodies and sample the cake for yourself, just fill as many entries as you'd like on the Gleam widget below, and I'll announce and contact the winner in a months time.

Good luck!

Disclosure: I was sent samples in exchange for review/giveaway. All thoughts are my own.

  33. We love it and quite often have it on a Sunday either for afternoon tea or as a sweet after lunch as it's quite light. Always have it as a pudding after my meatballs in IKEA x
