Bespoke Planet Necklace >> Diwah Review & £80 Giveaway

Creating the perfect piece of jewellery...

I love jewellery and I always have. Since having baby number one nearly five years ago, I haven't been wearing it anywhere near as much and I really miss that little extra splash of colour and style. I found that when the kids were babies they would grab for my necklaces and swing on them, so I very quickly resigned them all to the bedside drawer.

Now the kids are a little older, I am finding myself a bit more again including my clothing and accessories. I'm really excited to be wearing necklaces again and always on the lookout for something a little more unique and personal. I struggle on the high street to find something that stands  out or that is 'me', so my collection is very minimal right now.

I was contacted recently by a company called Diwah and kindly invited to try out their unique online design service, allowing me to create my perfect piece of jewellery, completely bespoke and designed by me! There is also an option to have them design you a one off piece, or choose a design already constructed of which there are many - and they are beautiful!

*Diwah also kindly offered one lucky reader a prize of £80 to spend on their website, to create their own masterpiece! You can enter my giveaway below this post.*

I opted to design my own from scratch which was a lot of fun! The best way to explain how the service works is to watch the video below, it is great creating my necklace and looking through all the bead boxes, nearly as much as choosing them by hand but with a true expert preparing the final piece, check this out;

After playing around with several templates and patterns, I decided to create something that I have struggled to find in the shops. I love all things space (nerd...) and I have always wanted a planet necklace so that is what I tried to create. I had my choice of semi precious gorgeous beads, clasps and pendants and eventually decided on my design and parts which reflected the planet colours as close as possible. I found the site a little hard to use at times but I think this was down to firstly my eagerness to get started before really getting to grips with the site and secondly the fact that my computer is old and internet connection powered by very worn out hamsters. The design service is very straightforward though and just a brilliant idea all round.

I loved that I got sent these pictures of my necklace being created by the clever creative Laura at Diwah. The service feels so special and unique and very personal to me, it is just great!

I was really really happy with the service but then absolutely blown away by my necklace and the presentation on its arrival. Firstly there was the amazing packaging, a gift box hand tied in a beautiful ribbon, filled with tissue paper to protect my gorgeous necklace, and here it is.

I can't help but think that aside from it being lovely to create your own perfect jewellery, it would be an amazing gift for a friend or loved one to create them something special in their favourite colours, stones and styles. Imagine giving your bridesmaids bespoke necklaces in your wedding colours or creating a special necklace for a new Mum to celebrate her new baby? So many ideas for this service and I think the prices are really reasonable too which you can keep track of as you build your design.

Diwah gets a huge thumbs up from me and I am very thankful for such a well made and beautiful piece of jewellery just for me!

If you'd like to create your own necklace or just see the beautiful creations on offer, you can find out more on the Diwah website as well as following on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for more gorgeous designs.

I am so happy with my necklace, its the nicest piece of jewellery I have had, it's a really good weight, the beads are cool and magical looking and I think my design worked really well! If you fancy having a play with Diwah with a free £80 voucher to spend, you can enter my giveaway below!
