Feeling Patriotic With Team GB >> Olympics 2016

When I was growing up I LOVED getting all patriotic with sports on the TV and the Olympics was just the most exciting thing ever. I remember spending hours drawing the olympic rings and was strangely obsesssed with watching people run, even though I myself can't run for toffee! At school we used to do activities, have our own mini Olympics and celebrate the amazing athletes from team GB. The whole event was brilliant, I could have told you who was winning what at every stage and I just thought it was so much fun.

Since then, this patriotism has totally faded which is really sad and with the Olympics coming up next month I am very keen to reignite some of that fun and excitement into my own children and get them into sports as well as all the good things that go along with it.

We will be doing some Olympic related crafts and cooking bits and also celebrating with some brilliant Team GB clothing and accessories that official sponsors Aldi have kindly donated to us for the upcoming games.

As well as supporting the event with sponsorship, Aldi are also stocking up with a huge variety of Team GB related goodies to help us show our full support for the guys and gals taking part, helping the family get into the true Olympic spirit and put a smile on our faces.

If you're a keen cyclist then you can pick up some bike bargains in store right now, but from the 28th July there will be the full range including things like the mascot plush toy for the kids and full supporter clothing for all. We can even get our living rooms comfy for watching the games with the cosy bean cubes and a huge selection of items from just 99p, perfect for your Olympic parties or family watching. The union Jack radio is my favourite Special Buy pick of all!

I for one can't wait for the Olympics to start in August and we are now good to go with our gear to represent team GB. I also can't wait to see what Alf makes of it all and see if he has that same excitement for cheering on our own, that I had as a child.

Will you be watching the Olympics this time round?
