Top 5 Beauty Favourites

Being a blogger, you occasionally get the chance to try some really amazing products. As someone that's always loved beauty buys anyway, I've done my fair share of buying and trying and often this is done on a pretty tight budget at home, with a few minor splurges here and there.

I thought I'd share 5 of my favourites at the moment that are a real godsend for making me look human, for just a few pounds whilst taking very little time to perfect.

1. Schwarzkopf Live Ultra Brights.
2. Avon matte lipstick
3. Wella Shockwaves Hairspray
4. Benefit Ka-Brow
5. Garnier Oil Infused Micellar Water

LIVE Hair Colour

I've had my hair a rainbow of colours this past year and I've really enjoyed playing around with the Schwarzkopf colours.  I find they don't last particularly long but I actually prefer the washed out pastel colours so this works for me. Hair colour wise this is super cheap for around  £5 a pop and can be mixed with conditioner for more subtle shades. I don't find the colour (except the brightest red!) comes off on everything and the shades are really nice and mix well.

AVON Matte Lipstick

I've been an Avon rep a few months now and I'm actually quite converted to some of their products. I never thought anything would take me away from my usual Maybelline lipstick or Max Factor foundation, but actually they have some pretty good alternatives and really good deals. The new matte lipstick has been compared to the MAC version, it comes in all the same shades and I'm told is a lot nicer to wear. I really like it and never normally use normal lipsticks, so these are a win for me and usually on offer for around a fiver. I prefer these for the lighter more nude shades as I find they wear better and transfer less.

ShockWaves Hairspray

Whenever I've had a fringe before,  my main bugbear has been that it's constantly getting blown around and falling out of place. I always used to use a glossy hairspray that made my hair look almost wet and after trying a few, the Shock Waves selection from Wella, really keeps everything in place without looking wet or product heavy. This is usually on offer at 2-4-£4 and lasts a long time.

Benefit Ka-Brow

This none was a bit of a splurge for me at £18.50, I don't tend to buy expensive makeup but I have had a few Benefit bits and pieces in the past and as I've not been able to find an eyebrow fix that I get on with so far, I opted to try the new Ka Brow, after being shown how to use it from a counter girl.

I was worried I wouldn't be able to do it so well myself, but actually it's such a lovely smooth product it is so much easier than cheaper versions and sits really nicely on. I was talked into buying a number 3 shade but felt that it may be a little dark when I go back to a lighter hair colour. After a few weeks of use, I am a total convert and she was absolutely right on the shade. I think it just takes a while to get used to having brows at all, but they look a million times better and if you too are someone that struggles with brows, this one's for you. It even has the built in brush and you need such a tiny amount it will last forever!

Garnier Oil Infused Micellar Water

Last up is the Oil infused micellar water from Garnier. I was a total convert to Micellar Water from other cleansers and now I've tried this oil infused one, the regular one seems rubbish. This makes your skin feel so much smoother without feeling greasy, it removes makeup far easier and works really well in getting your face clean for a good night's beauty sleep or makeup prep.

Those are my current favourites right now, what are yours?
