Wonderbly || My Golden Ticket Review & Giveaway

In Alf's first term in year one, he's had a gentle start with some fun days, a school trip and watching one of my favourite films - Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. He absolutely loves the films, both old and new and his class even got to design their very own sweets and chocolate bars just like the crazy creations in the film.

With this in mind, when I heard from Wonderbly that they had released a new book called 'My Golden Ticket', all about the great Roald Dahl classic, with a personalised aspect too, I just knew this was a must for Alf. After a great start, a head teachers award and cracking parents evening, I gave him this book as a special treat. A golden ticket of your very own? What more could any kid want?!

The great thing about this book is that it's completely customisable and can be personalised to each child, with a choice of hard/soft back, a personal message in the front and even the option of gift wrap. As well as the childs name in the book, you can even choose a grown up to go on the adventure with them. For us, it's Alf and Mummy, but if you're a grandparent, dad or uncle you can pop whatever name you like in there to make it even more special.

The first thing that hits you is the big gold shiny cover, I always dreamt of finding a golden ticket so it's a great first impression. Inside, there's heaps of gorgeous almost retro looking illustrations which we love. In terms of personalisation, it's not just a name in the message, but throughout the book including their very own oompa loompa song and Wonka bar. No two stories will be the same, how cool is that?

The book is written as more of a journal than story based, so it's a great one for Alf to flick through when he's relaxing at home or to read together.

Alf loves this book and Wonderbly have definitely produced another brilliant presonalised book that will go down a storm this Christmas, for birthdays or an anytime treat.
