Love is in the air!
It's that time of year again. Love is in the air, birds are singing, cupid is looking pretty smug and everyone is getting married! Amazing! The only thing that can put some of us off this magical time, is the present buying. What on earth do you buy? Hello and welcome to wedding season. Yikes!
Little meaningful gifts in the new marital home are the perfect way to decorate and remember the special day. I love all the little trinkets we received for our wedding and they are so special to me, having been picked out by my nearest and dearest. I now like to give similar little trinkets (within my budget) and I like to think they are as well received as my own.
What to buy?
Most people nowadays have already set up home before the big day, so the traditions of buying toasters and cutlery are really old hat now. It's much better to get a little gift, something pretty and homely that can be kept and treasured. Even if the couple have requested vouchers or cash as so many do, a nice thoughtful gift along side it goes really well. A great place to get some little unique gifts at really low prices is one of my favourite stores, Homesense.

The gifts above range from £1.99 - £15. I love the pot potpourri bird cage and the candle. Can you ever have enough things to make your home smell beautiful? My favourite find was the mini suitcase in the middle (bargain at £7.99) which has a wedding themed text and would be perfect for keeping all the couples wedding mementos in after their big day! I hope you like my finds and are now as excited as me about wedding shopping! Enjoy the wedding season and have some fun choosing the ideal gift and maybe a treat for yourself too. Well - we deserve a treat after all that shopping don't we!
Getting married?
I noticed in Homesense that not only do they sell the right gifts, but also lots of things that would be ideal for decorating your own wedding. If you are getting married, I would really recommend checking them out for things like candle sticks, faux flowers, crockery, vases etc etc.
