I love buying homemade, handmade items and when I heard 'This Material Culture' were running a competition for us bloggers, I just had to have a go at winning some of their gorgeous goodies! The idea is to pick five of their items from the site and give reasons why those special ones in your life deserve to win them. I would love to win this competition and treat people at the same time. I won't be mentioning names, but I really wanted to share some of these goodies - aren't they cool?
Firstly, the two button necklaces. I love buttons and I have two friends that would completely adore these. Their skin tones are so different and I just know these necklaces would look beautiful on, whilst reflecting the light. As they are also totally button bananas, I know these would be really well received and worn all the time.
The dinosaur necklace would go to a very keen dinosaur fan I know. A little girl with a huge heart that just loves anything Jurassic! This is so different and jewellery always seems so special when you're a kid, like treasure! She would love love love this.
The bangles are my absolute favourite things on the site. The dinosaur one would go to a good friend that is a mum of small children like me, so no doubt doesn't get to treat herself often. This beautiful lady also loves dinosaurs - a lot (like me!) so this will go down a storm.
Lastly the silver cloud bangle. I have a friend that is going through a horrible time, she is struggling to see the positives and I keep reminding her that 'every cloud has a silver lining' and that everything will be alright in the end as things happen for a reason. Yep, I'm totally full to the brim of cliches, but it's so true and this bangle would be a sweet reminder that everything will be OK and that how ever hard things are right now, someone does care.
For me, it would just have to be the Deathly Hallows bangle below. It's so simple and perfect, I absolutely love the colours and the charm. For me, this is the perfect piece of jewellery and my favourite from This Material Culture.
