OK, I'm Motivated.




I've struggled with my health quest and weight loss since Christmas. Despite the fact I still very much want the health benefits (and looks) of being slimmer, I just haven't been able to get motivated again.

Last year I lost two friends aged 25 and 30 to cancer and seeing their children and loved ones left behind, really kicked my motivation into touch and I went on to lose nearly five stone and started to feel fantastic!

2016 has been tricky; for some reason that motivation has fizzled out and although I've not gained much weight back, I haven't lost any either.

Last week I was talking about one of my friends that we lost and then realised it had been exactly a year since she passed - I took this as a sign.




Saturday came round and I ended up being taken to hospital in an ambulance with my back in spasm, knees that collapsed from under me and I was soon reminded by a kind doctor that my weight probably wasn't helping. Thanks for that!

I think the events this week as well as the warmer weather have kicked that motivation back in again. I don't want to be unhealthy, I don't want to be uncomfortably hot as I try to cover up in the sunshine and I want to set a good healthy example to the kids.

OK, I'm motivated.

Why this has taken nearly four months to kick back in I have no idea, but losing weight just isn't all that easy for us food fans. I'm going to give it a good try though and smash it once again to get me closer to that goal.
