Blogging >> Opening My Etsy Store (Soon!)

Exciting!

For those that read my blog goals for this year, you may have noticed that one thing I'd like to do this year is set up a shop page on this blog. I've always wanted to sell my arts and crafts but never felt happy with how I have gone about it. Taking orders is too stressful for me (how silly is that?!), so having a virtual shop that I can stock up with digital prints, cards and hand made items is really exciting for me and gives me the option of having a night off the blog whilst still keeping busy and creative.

I love arts & crafts but much prefer doing it for a purpose other than just for fun, I find it much more motivating knowing I can share and/or possibly sell my works and the encouragement I have had to do this has been amazing! I loved making sock monkeys pre-blogging and went through the CE testing to ensure they were safe for selling, and love my drawing now so to bring it all together should be really fun.

The shop is going to be a while in the making while I work out and prepare the following;

  • How to put a shop page on
  • What stock to sell
  • How best to produce/send prints
  • Pricing

This project is in the very early stages so as soon as my store is live, I'll be posting more about it with an update of progress and stock. I am so excited to add another angle to this blog as well as my working life and crossing my fingers it all works out. If you run an Etsy store or something similar and have any tips, please comment below and let me know.
