Create || June Arts, Crafts & Creative

June was a really creative month for me, though mainly digital I did get myself a HUGE canvas so will be getting the paints out soon. My main focus in June was my book, working on my second book and launching some new products on Amazon. Here's my creative journey from June;

Books...

My first book The Arboretum Eel went on sale a few weeks ago and I've been blown away with the kindness of people and the response from the kids that have read it which has all been great so far. I've only sold about 60 copies, but it's about 59 copies more than expected so that's fab. I love that we have a copy here that the kids can keep when they're older as it's only a short story/poem, but means a lot to me with it being our favourite place and the story itself which came from something Alfie said when he was a toddler.

I'm now working on what I think will be book two, all about a knight that's been living in Lincoln castle for years and finally decides to leave. I won't give too much away just yet but here's a sneak preview of one of the picture pages from the book so far;

As well as my books, I've truly got the Amazon bug, and have uploaded some simple weight loss journals and I'm just breaking into Amazon Merch too. What I'm hoping for from these ventures is a little stream of income that will trickle in that I can add to as I go along. By uploading artwork and things like books and journals, I'm not facing any outlay but potentially could earn a little extra (and much needed) money.

Towards the end of the month I've got back into rock painting a little and have been making plans for my big painting which I will hopefully hang above our bed, and most probably have a sea theme of some kind. I also want to create a few new prints for my Etsy store to keep it looking a bit fresher.

What creative fun did you have in June?
