Kids Stuff || Zuru Smashers Dino Epic Egg Review

Kids Stuff || Review

Most of our kiddy reviews recently have been more for Sophie so we were super excited to get the chance to review something Alf has been after since he first saw the adverts air on kids TV - Zuru smashers. The latest addition to the smashers family is the Epic egg, which Alf got to try out alongside the classic multi packs of smaller eggs to smash. Soph was also after these as she loves dinosaurs and also getting smashy, but kindly let Alf try out the biggest epic egg all by himself. So if you're not familiar with the brilliant smashers or Dino Epic egg from Zuru, then here's a little about them and how we got on...

You may have seen the adverts for the small Zuru Smashers already, but if not then they are small surprise eggs that you literally smash open to reveal the surprise inside. There's over 100 figures to collect with many different varieties such as fossils you dig out yourself and small rubber figures to collect. The egg itself can be rebuilt once 'smashed' like a little puzzle, though I must admit we all found this bit really hard to do! The smashing and surprise element are amazing though and the kids loved discovering what was hidden inside.

We are already pretty obsessed with fossil collecting in real life, so having a fun alternative on the shop shelf is such a great idea. The kids loved that they could legitimately smash something and didn't even argue when I said they had to share them which in itself is a win, but also shows how excited they were to get stuck in.

These are super cute collectibles, with lots to collect and the most fun way to open anything ever - smash! Big hit in our house.

Next up is the truly amazing Epic Egg, which although a little heavy on the plastic use, is packed full of wonderful surprises and so much excitement! This is the ultimate gift for any dino fan and I think these will be a big hit this Christmas.

The Epic egg

The Epic egg is one big surprise egg packed with treats! Here's what we found inside...

Glittery Ice age putty, Fizzy Lava and a fossil rock to smash open!

Slime! With a part of the large dinosaur in. All these packets contain parts that you have to find inside!

Yellow kinetic sand with more dino bones inside!

Lava fizz that reveals more bones inside...

The finished dinosaur! We also discovered more of the mini surprise eggs inside!!

This is the ultimate surprise egg for any dinosaur fan! There are so many gifts inside and lots to do, from fizzing up the lava to digging in slime, sand and smashing rocks. With Christmas on the horizon this is definitely one to consider for your little one.

The Smashers Epic Dino Egg is available right now at an RRP of £24.99, from shops such as Smyths, The Entertainer, Argos, Tesco, Asda, B&M, Sainsbury’s Supermarket and many other major toy retailers. Click here to see the range!
