Mama Style || July Favourites

I can't even remember the last time we had a summer like this and I realised this week that I'm actually adjusting to it now. To start with it was such a shock to the system, I'm not a fan of showing my wobbly bits or summer clothing in general, so trying to dress daily in 30 degree heat was a real struggle!

I've realised now that although I don't look how I want to, I just need to dress for the weather and not suffer sweating it out for fear that someone will be nasty or I'll be showing stretch marks and those extra rolls. I am what I am right now and it's really too hot to care. I've braved a teeny swim suit, I've braved shorts, I've darkened my hair a bit with a root stretch as I'm desperate to grow it and make it long and strong.

It's actually been quite liberating having this heat, I've always covered up, I've worn jeans and jumpers all summer because I hate showing skin, but this year I've had to let that go or I'd just pass out. I'm definitely going to embrace summer a little more for as long as we have left of it and dress in the coolest skimpiest clothes that I need to.

Here's a few looks from July, Bandannas are a total addiction aren't they? Totally my go to outfit rescue on an almost daily basis, especially in this heat where having my sheep like hair down is just grim.

I've had to cut down on my posts recently, but did post this one about an alternative summer look. It's hard when you enjoy an 'alternative' style, especially in summer and as you get older, but there are loads of ways to rock 'you' whilst keeping cool and keeping true to your tastes.

And this one with a monochrome and bold red look. I've always been a huge fan of these colours and this look sums up one of my perfect kind of outfits, with staples that can see me through all sorts of days.

This month I'll be looking at transitional clothing for the end of summer and getting stocked up early for the Autumn wardrobe, even though it looks like summer is her to stay for a while. I love Autumn and I've already bagged a few goodies for those cooler days - I can't wait!
