Buying a winter coat has always been one of my favourite things about the colder seasons approaching. I seem to have quite a stash in a range of sizes and can't seem to part with them too easily! This year, there seems to be a stream of gorgeous coats in store and online and I thought I'd share some of my favourites.

Aviator jackets are popular this season in a whole array of colours, but a classic black aviator will last for years and go with everything. For a more daring look, I love a bit of full blown faux fur like this leopard beauty from Mango, though it's not for everyone I'd love to add it to my collection. Classic trench style coats will always be a strong contender in winter and I love a waist belt, a bit of shaping and a big feature collar and it's my perfect coat. For more casual days, parka style coats are always a firm favourite all year round and I love this mustard light weight coat which is perfect for layering through Autumn.
