Mama Style || Summer Day Dress - High St

One of my goals this summer is to wear more dresses. I want a few staple day dresses that I can wear to death over leggings or shorts instead of sweating it out in jeans and tops like I normally do. The high street is packed with beautiful dresses at the moment, with lots of day dresses that can be worn for any occasion and easily dressed up with shoes and accessories or worn casually for work, days out and of course shopping.

I thought I'd share some of my favourites from the high street this season, with dresses from H&M, M&S, Next, Asda and New Look. These are all pretty reasonably priced and hopefully there's some ideas for your next dress shopping trip too;

H&M

First up is H&M with these three simple day dresses. There's a lot of animal prints around this year which I love, as well as plenty of sleeves which is always a win for me. I love the simplicity of the zebra shirt which could be worn easily over leggings, used as a swim cover up or dressed up for a night out with a waist belt and some bling. The other two are perfect for every day, with a simple strappy leopard print and the pink ditsy floral which is perfect for hot summer days.

Marks & Spencers

Next up is a few lovelies from M&S, which isn't somewhere I look too often, but I really like the summer dresses and they feel really good quality. I love these three and although they're all very different, I could style them all to my taste and none are too OTT for daytime wear. I really love the mustard dress that could be worn in colder seasons with tights and the pockets on the red dress are a total win. The green floral is the perfect beach dress, bright, floaty and light for hotter days.

Next

The Next dresses look better on and in person than the cut out pics below, but you can still see how gorgeous they are. I love colour and pattern in summer and these are perfect for me, with prints that can be worn day and night, dressed up or worn casually with some sandals. I adore the yellow one most of all, it's so simple with small ditsy flowers, but I really like the little details with the matching buttons and slight frill on the longer sleeve.

Asda - George

I have had a lot of clothes from George at Asda and they are always extremely well priced and I think the summer season is where they really shine with their clothes. The shirt dress in the centre is my favourite, as it could be styled to look very retro, but could also be worn on a normal day out or day at work. I love the colours and prints on the others, and the bardot necklines are perfect for transforming into a glam evening look.

New Look

My favourite New Look dresses all happen to be in the blue hues this year, but aren't they lovely? Blue is my favourite colour, so a little denim or floral thrown in and I'm sold. The floral dress is a classic summer frock, with the darker ditsy dress being a little more dressy which I love. The denim could be worn well into Autumn with tights and has a waist belt to give it some good shape too.

So that's some of my favourite high street day dresses so far this summer, which is your favourite?
