Kids Stuff || Candy Locks Dolls Review

Kids Stuff - Review

Literally from the second she could play with toys, Soph has been obsessed with all things dolls. For her first birthday, her first proper dolly and pram and from there she has deepened the obsession from baby dolls to all kinds of dolls. If it's cute and has hair for her to style she's bound to adore it. Finally this week Soph got her hands on some Candy Lock dolls, something she has seen on TV ads and begged for recently, so she was totally in awe when we opened a box from Spin Master toys this week with two gifted just for her. Lucky girl!

The dolls we received were one of the smaller surprise doll and a larger Sugar Style Doll Straw Mary, both with the signature 'candy floss' (or cotton candy if you're outside the UK) hair, packed with colour and looking very appealing to open.

To start with, Soph chose to open the small 'surprise doll'. With her hair piled into a delicious ice cream shape, we could already see the colour of her locks, but once opened, we would be able to see what the doll herself looked like and just how long this wonderful mane would be outside the packet.

The hair is super soft and instantly we could smell the gorgeous grape scent from this doll. The hair was very long, so Soph began to unravel her to see her new doll...

The hair on the surprise doll is crazy long! Plenty to play with, style and get some practise in for plaiting hair. We then got to see the pretty doll, with her big eyes, girly dress and platform shoes. Soph could not get over her magnificent hair and loved stroking it. You also get a couple of hair accessories in the pack to start the fun straight away.

Soph really loves this little doll and her long locks. The hair can be shaped into amazing giant buns, and locked into place with the accessories. The smell is gentle but really nice and Soph loved how dainty this little doll was.

Next up was the larger doll called Straw Marie, who has twisted long soft locks and a cute strawberry themed outfit and accessories. The twisty hair style was a big hit, though we didn't really get much of a strawberry scent from the doll she is still very much loved.

Soph really enjoyed opening and exploring these dolls, with the beautifully soft fluffy locks with heaps of potential for styling, to their cute little faces, clothes, shoes and matching accessories. Soph wants to collect more of these, so they've definitely been a hit here. These dolls are on sale right now in all good toy stores starting at just £9.99.
