Our Christmas Experience: Rand Farm

We recently visited one of our favourite places, Rand Farm Park in Lincolnshire.

This year the farm have gone all out on a real Christmas adventure and we were so impressed with all the effort that had clearly gone in to making the entire experience completely magical for all ages.

I thought I would share a few pictures from our day out and give a little guided tour...

Most the farm has been transformed to ensure an all round festive day out, along with all their normal offerings of wonderful animals, playgrounds, outdoor adventures, soft play and cafes. I loved that they had this area for writing Santa letters with a postbox outside and also an area for kids to prepare reindeer food in organza bags to take home!

Every inch of the Santa experience was really well thought out from the little forest and sleigh, to the mock up house. All the staff looked amazing in their costumes and it was so special. My son is four and absolutely loved it. This is no normal Santa's grotto!

After seeing Santa and receiving a magic token, you can enter a toy shop through a secret door and trade your token for any toy! The toys were brilliant too and some were easily worth most the entrance fee.

As well as the brilliant Santa section, the barns are kitted out  with winter scenes, fun family Christmas themed games and beautiful decorations.

Here is A meeting the big guy himself!  I have no idea how they managed it, but it was actually the real Santa! Thumbs up all round.

I love the animals at Rand and always give our friend bull a good head scratch. Baby S got to meet some new piglets too.

As an adult, the highlight for me was meeting the real reindeer.  They are so beautiful I could have watched them for hours.

I can't stress how much work has gone into making it magical! I loved this sleigh, the festive music and all the animated scenes.

Off to Mrs Santa's kitchen, where the kids could decorate a yummy ginger bread man with icing and sprinkles, which  was then all wrapped and ribboned to take home.

This is my top picture.  Donkeys are my favourite and this baby one was adorable with it's  mummy, though ever so slightly unphotogenic. Ha.

Yes, we were the last ones there, packing up in the dark. I haven't  even captured everything that is on offer but this just gives a rough idea. If you are local I would really recommend this as a special day out.

For not much more than the price of a regular grotto, you get a full day of entertainment and fun, as well as a toy, reindeer food and a biscuit to take home. With only a few days left before the big day I'd definitely recommend popping over! Santa is there everyday until the 23rd.

Merry Christmas!
