So far this summer has been a complete wash out, not the best for school holidays and as much as it's a huge breath of fresh air to stay in our PJs and have a house/movie day, it soon gets old. We love the outdoors and although we don't mind a bit of rain, I do dread the whole wet clothes, cold kids, mud everywhere scenario.
This week we were sent all-in-one rain suits to try out, from waterproof clothing specialists Dry Kids, perfect timing for a wet Wednesday, on a day where we desperately needed to escape the house. Although the rain had calmed a little by the time I'd wrangled everyone into action, there were still lots of puddles around and the kids were under strict instructions to jump and splash away to their hearts content.
Soph is a huge fan of pink so I chose her the pretty Pink suit and the gorgeous green one for Alf. I think the colour really suits him and it looks just like the ones the farmers wear when we visit, so next time we go he can fit right in.
The suits have a built in peaked hood, reflective strips sewn in to keep them safe on darker days, a full chunky zip, easy for little hands to master, as well as elasticated cuffs and hems. These suits are made from Isolite polyester fabric, making them completely waterproof but also pretty breathable. Dry kids sell lots of alternative wears to keep out little ones dry, with jackets, over trousers and wellies. There's something pretty adorable about kids in waterproofs isn't there? These looked super cute on my two and they loved being matchy too.
We love these suits and recommend them for days like these. Alf's & Soph's are a little large so will be perfect over warm clothes if we're lucky enough to get some snow this winter. In the mean time though, we're all geared up for whatever this summer has to throw at us! You can see the full range of waterproofs at www.drykids.co.uk.
Do your kids love a bit of puddle jumping?
