Music >> The August Bluetooth Speakers

August Bluetooth Speakers

Just lately I have really been enjoying music again. I used to absolutely live for music and it's only really since having kids that the trips to gigs and blasting out tunes has come to an abrupt stop. Having enjoyed it again recently I realise just how it can really lift your mood, make you feel happy, bring back fun memories and even help get things done.

Last month we were kindly sent over some Bluetooth Speakers by August to review, which are a sleek wireless two speaker sound system and were just what we needed for getting in the Christmas spirit and pumping out those much loved tunes as we got ready for the special day. Music is a great mood booster so having these over the past few weeks has been great! Listening to music whilst getting things done (like the mammoth task of de-cluttering in the new year!) makes hard work so much easier and if the sound quality is good too, then that's even better.

Firstly, here are some of the key features of these speakers;

  • Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Speaker Set - Powerful and balanced stereo sound
  • Bluetooth v4.0 - Connect wirelessly to Smartphones, Tablets, Laptops and Smart TVs
  • 15 hour battery life - Long life internal rechargeable battery, perfect on the go
  • 3.5mm Audio In - Easily connect to non Bluetooth devices through their headphone socket
  • Stereo Connecting Cable - Two speakers linked to create awesome stereo separation

In the box you will find;

  • 2x Bluetooth Stereo Speakers
  • 1x Charging Cable
  • 1x L/R Speaker Connection Cable
  • 1x 3.5mm Audio Cable

Our previous Bluetooth speaker has been pretty good, it pushes the sound out well and doesn't sound tinny like the old mini speakers used to, but the thing they are lacking though has been that quality deep stereo sound. It's really noticeable not having that dynamic when you listen on a mono speaker so we were looking forward to a bigger,  better and full stereo sound from these speakers.

Our first thought was that the speakers are a nice size, not too big and pretty perfect for our kitchen which will be where we mainly use them. They are nice looking speakers and are a good weight - always a good sign for a decent speaker. The speakers were easy to charge and set up/link to devices. Instantly, the sound was greatly improved compared to our previous Jam speaker and the music had a lot more depth and quality to it. I connected these to my phone and it was pretty much instant every time with no issues. Don't you just LOVE Bluetooth?!

Don't be fooled into thinking that the wireless aspect will affect the sound quality, actually far from it the sound is very good from these and we experienced no faults, delays or interference during use. The battery lasts a long time (approx 15 hours) especially if like me you are most likely to be using in short bursts when cooking/cleaning etc. I just had to make sure I remembered to switch these off to preserve the battery, but that tends to be the case with most things so not an issue. There is a cable included that allows you to set these up with your TV for surround sound, a great option making them multi use too.

There are LEDs on the speakers to indicate it's status such as searching for Bluetooth etc. You have the option of a direct wire based connection if for any reason you don't want the Bluetooth on so all options are covered right inside the box.

I've really enjoyed trying these out, they delivered everything I wanted from them - easy to set up, great crisp and clear sound quality and they even look pretty good too. I've really loved getting back into music again and these have helped me do just that. If you'd like to see more, or buy some for yourself, you can do so by clicking right here for an exclusive 40% off code!
