Easter crafts are one of my favourites. The perfect excuse to pack lots of colour and pretty things into our activities and with this months Bostik challenge being Easter themed creations, I decided to revamp an old favourite with a pop up Easter chick card that I loved making as a child.
You will need
- A card & Envelope
- Glue - (I'm using Bostik's Fine & Wide glue pen)
- Mixed papers/card
- Decorative decals
- Googly eyes
How to make
Cut some pretty lining paper out to put inside your card and decorate the front however you like with the crafty bits you have to hand. I opted for An egg shape in pretty paper, with some ribbon and flowers.
Once everything has been glued and dried, cut out your Easter chick shape roughly. Draw a line ready to cut to create the 'pop up' beak.
Next you just need to cut across the horizontal line, pull out the 'beak' and gently fold to create the pop out effect.
Next, stick your chick into the centre of the card (inside!) and add the googly eyes or draw some features on. You could even add feathers or more decals such as these little eggs we had.
Once your card has dried, it's all ready to write in your special Easter message and pack in a pretty envelope. This design is super simple to adapt for any occasion, adapting the chick into a dinosaur, Christmas elf or anything you can think of! I can't wait to try some more.
Please do let me know if you try this out and if you like it, please give it a pin (below) or share :)
Have a great Easter!
