Kids Stuff || Collect Meegos & Help Families

My kids like most are big fans of little collectibles. Normally kids collectibles come in some kind of plastic or rubber form and you're often paying a premium for their exciting packaging and surprise element.

This week though, we were sent samples of a brand new kind of kids collectible in the form of Meegos, a crochet collection hand crafted in Bangladesh by a non profit organisation that provides local and flexible employment. Not only do our kids get to collect cute crochet animals but in turn we are supporting other families across the globe, how amazing is that?

In fact, the first order of Meegos alone has generated over 4000 jobs, helping women in Bangladesh increase their standard of living and help with their children's education. If that alone isn't reason enough to love Meegos, here's a little more about these cute crochet pooches.

I'm a big fan of crochet toys, though I'm hopeless at crocheting myself so really appreciate the work that goes into it. Meegos are all made by hand to a high quality and retail at £12.99 for the large and £6.99 for the 2" smaller toys. The packaging is simple, but the toys themselves are lovely and built to last. Meegos are suitable from birth, CE tested and adorable.

There's nothing not to love about a plastic free washable well made toy that will be loved for years to come whilst also supporting other families in a less fortunate position than ourselves.

If you'd like to collect Meegos and support this amazing project, series one is out right now in selected Sainsbury's and Debenhams stores. These are certainly a big hit here and Soph loves the dinky ones that she can pop in her handbag for days out best of all.

As a Mum, it's nice to see a very different kind of collectible and each larger pooch has a name tag which also says which mini Meegos are in it's family which is a very sweet touch. There are 6 large and 12 small dogs to collect, though just alone they make a lovely little gift. For adoption certificates and fun stuff for kids, the Meegos website is well worth a visit if these are a hit with your kids.

Do you have any little collectors that would love Meegos too?
