Mama Life || Getting Arty With Aldi's Special Buys

Aldi's new Contemporary Art Range - pre-order now and buy in store from the 16th September.

As the kids are getting used to being back at school, I'm slowly getting used to having a few hours to myself again and it feels so strange. One thing I'm looking forward to when both kids are in full time, is having some more time for my art and in particular my painting.

I'm slowly building my Etsy page, but I really want to get stuck into my art again and see if I can make some extra income from it, but it's very slow going! Here's a few pictures from this weeks uploads into my shop, all painted with water colour and ink before being resized and edited;

I'm always on the look out for affordable art supplies and have baskets and drawers of bits and pieces, so I'm in real need of a little organisation and a bit of a refresh on my supplies. The September contemporary art range of Special Buys at Aldi could be just the ticket. I'll be trying out some samples I've been sent from the upcoming range this month and I can't wait to get stuck in. The prices as always are great, with items from just a few pounds, making this the perfect time to stock up for ourselves or for gifts.

With Christmas sneaking up on us, savvy shopping like this would be great for any budding artists young or old. For me, I'm in dire need of a bit of organisation and storage, so I'm loving the wooden storage cases and brushes with their own case.

I'm terrible for just chucking my paints and  brushes into drawers which does them no favours and makes it difficult when I need to get things out ready to paint or draw. I also don't currently have an easel, so you'll usually find me leaning my canvas against a wall or window for a bit of stability. The Aldi easel priced at just £12.99 and it's perfect for some proper painting, but can also be stored away easily when needed.

From pencils and paint brushes, to easels and oil pastels, budding or established artists will find a whole host of high-quality essentials to get creative this month, thanks to Aldi’s new Contemporary Art range. Prices start at just £3.99 and to stock up on your own art stash, you can pre-order right now or buy direct in store from the 16th September.
