Last year when the MADS went live, I was a mere twinkle in the eye of the blogging world, I was finding my feet, finding out what it all meant and realising how much hard work and devotion a good blog takes to keep trucking. I've been loving every single minute of it since and I can't wait to find out what the future holds.
I voted for some of my firm favourites, as I LOVE reading other blogs and I know how much a little 'like', comment or email to say well done on a post or photograph means.
This year, I am a fully fledged (though very new and ever so slightly amateur) blogger, there is no ridding me from this world now and I think I finally have my head around what most things mean and how it all works.
There isn't a day goes by that I don't commit a chunk of my time to this and it does me such a great deal of good, I can't even begin to explain how.
The MAD blog awards are now open for voting for this year and I would LOVE to be put forward for a category. I know this is a little like shameless begging and I guess in a way it is, but I thought I would share a few reasons why I would love you to vote and why it means so much to me;
- Wafflemama has helped me gain back a sense of identity, I feel like me again.
- I love having a voice again and feeling I have people to share that with.
- My blog has helped me to help others raise awareness for important fundrasing, events and parental issues.
- I have been able to relight my creativity and turned a hobby into something I absolutely love.
- I love writing and have really enjoyed having projects to work on and fun things to share.
- I have met some amazing people, I've been able to giveaway great prizes to people that were so happy to win and I have finally felt like I fit in somewhere a little.
This adventure has given me the chance to appreciate the little things in life, learn what is truly important and make the most of my family time more too. It's basically been a huge life changer and it's all thanks to the lovely Katy who I will be choosing as my blogger of the year this year. I can't imagine how much harder this past year would have been without this outlet and wonderful people like Katy giving me help and encouragement when I needed it most.
