Mama Style || Simple Summer - Dresses & Jumpsuits

Summer really seems to bring out my inner girly girl and even though most the year I'm quite happy to rock the Mortisha vibes, summer welcomes in some colour and the appearance of sunshine really makes me want to wear floaty, happy, colourful clothes too.

I love dresses but I'm also a huge fan of jumpsuits, though it can be really hard to find one to suit your body shape, when you get one that works, it really works! Here's some of my favourites in store and online right now to brighten up your summer.

Maria Country Swing dress | Mainline Pool Party dress | Brette stripe dress | Sunflower strap dress | Cactus dress

Even though you could wear it all year round, the stripe dress is my absolute favourite! I've always had a thing for two tone clothing and I love everything about this, the retro shaping, the metallic buttons, everything! The sunflower dress comes in about 3 billion patterns and costs just over £8 on eBay which I may have just invested in. As yet we've got no weddings to attend to this year or special events, but if we did I'd totally be bagging one of these dresses for the occasion, they are so pretty!

Jumpsuits can be SO flattering when you get the right fit and shape for you. Often I think it's best to size up to avoid tightness in certain areas, but it's really totally dependent on the brand and our body shapes. It's well worth sticking out the try ons though until you find the right one for you. My favourites here are the two in the centre. The stripe because I always love anything vaguely nautical and this would be so easy to wear and accesorize. The palm playsuit because, well, it's just beautiful, it looks a great shape and has a bit of a retro vibe without being OTT. The other two on the outside would be great wedding guest options, with the added bonus of being able to dress them back down for regular wear after the event.
