It can take a long time to get to grips with our own bodies. Finally accepting our 'flaws', ceasing to hide ourselves away in the summer sun and jumping in the pool feet first to enjoy family fun makes life much more exciting and sometimes, you just need the right swim wear to give you that little extra boost of confidence.
I thought I'd share some of my favourite swim gear out there right now, some suitable for the local pool, some for a far away beach and some you can rock just about anywhere. Swimming and the freedom of being in water is just the best feeling, so never let any body hang ups stop you doing something that can be so relaxing and enjoyable.

I'm a big fan of the retro style suits which can be really flattering for a fuller figure and I think just good all rounders for most body types. Whatever it is we dislike about our bodies, skin or shape, there are many ways we can choose to accentuate it, flatter it or if you're not quite there on the body confidence, there's always ways to cover up without truly hiding who you are.
There are so many options out there for all body shapes and not one will suit everybody, so if you do go swim suit shopping please don't ever feel any negativity about not suiting everything on offer, I can assure you nobody does in real life and no matter how amazing you think someone else looks, you can bet they too are worried about an extra bulge, tiger stripes or not feeling quite 'summer ready'.
Which is your favourite?
