Milton Antibac Surface Wipes: Review

When I think about sterilising baby equipment such as bottles and breast pumps, I automatically think of Milton. Milton have been the leading name in sterilising products for 65 years, so it's no wonder they are always the recommended brand for new parents. Sterilising  baby equipment keeps it free from germs that could make your baby very poorly. Their immune systems take a while to develop properly, meaning they are extremely vulnerable to things like gastroenteritis which causes an upset tummy. This can be caused simply by bacteria breeding in tiny traces of milk - sterilising means these germs are killed off and baby won't get sick. I have experienced a poorly baby a few times and it's such a horrible time, I'd do anything to avoid it for all of us.

Milton have recently broadened their range. You have no doubt seen the advert for their genius portable soother steriliser, but they have also started with microwave sterilising too, alongsi their much loved cold water sterilising tablets and fluid.

I am a huge fan of surface wipes generally (so much easier) and now Milton have launched their very own. Surface wipes are brilliant for cleaning areas quickly, so when I was offered some Milton brand wipes to try I was keen to give these a go.

The best thing for me about the Milton wipes, is that I know they are safe for baby. I use normal household cleansing wipes - but they do smell a little toxic, so I always wipe down afterwards to make sure no chemicals are left for baby S to touch. These Milton wipes are really thick and moist, meaning they clean very well and after wiping areas for the recommended 30 seconds - I know that all the germs will be safely dealt with and I can sit baby straight down for her dinner. I love not having to worry about what I am cleaning with, as they are made with baby in mind.
These wipes are brilliant and I would definitely buy again. The small pack size means I can keep them in the nappy bag or handbag, always good. These kill 99.9% of germs, so are perfect for home and even when you're out. I have used these on my high chair, changing mat and baby's toys for a quick but reassuring wash. While we were out - we were also able to give the dodgy restaurant high chair a quick clean (probably the best one its ever had!) which really put my mind at ease, as they can be pretty grim!

These Milton wipes retail at £2.29 and are available at Asda, Babies R Us, Boots, Sainsbury’s, Superdrug, Tesco and Precious Little One. A big thumbs up from us.
