What's Your Day Job? Meet Alice !

This week I am introducing you to the lovely Alice, an Essex girl who loves the outdoors and writing her own blog too. Over to Alice...

Name: Alice Langley

Age: 31

A few facts about you: I'm an Essex girl and mum of two. Outside of work I love good wine, good friends, good food and a good book. I am also quite often found paddling along a river somewhere in my Kayak.

What's your job? I'm a social media consultant, having recently set up my own company Langley Media. Aside from this I am also found peddling my wares as a freelance blogger and writer on the subjects of family travel and sport.

How long have you been doing it? I've been blogging for almost four years now. The social media role is a more recent one, about two years or so.

What do you like best about it? I love the freedom that comes with being freelance, being able to make sports day or have an early finish if the sun is shining. I'm all about having a good work/life balance.

What is the worst thing about it? You are never off duty. When you work for yourself it's hard not to feel like you should always be doing 'something' - it's taken me a long time to learn how to switch off.

Would you recommend it? Yes, I get paid to be social, write about what I love and play on the Internet! 

What's your dream job? My dream job would be full-time travel blogger/writer. I'd love to pack the family up into a camper and travel the world blogging our adventures as we go.

Would you carry on if you won the lottery? Yes I think I would. Maybe a few less hours though!
