Biker Days: Doddington Hall Giant Store

Another weekend gone, another Biker Days adventure complete. While I was working on Saturday, Mr. Waffle took the children out biking locally. A was out on his pedal bike and baby S on the front mounted iBert baby seat on my bike - it doesn't fit on his! Look at her little face - totally enthralled. She really did have a whale of a time though, another speed freak in the making.

On Sunday our bike adventures continued, taking us to Doddington Hall in Lincolnshire. We got married at Doddington Hall in September 2010 and now a huge Giant store has opened, so we popped over to check it out. I think Mr. W would have got married in there had it been there at the time - he was in pure heaven. I kept the credit card locked safely in my purse...

The store boasts an amazing selection of biking gear, everything you need and more. The building is pretty lovely too, with 8,300 Sq. feet over two floors. There are sections for road bikes, mountain bikes, women's biking and lots more. There's a large selection of pretty well priced Giant accessories to choose from, very friendly staff and they even carry out servicing. Much like the other shops on site (Bauble Barn & Farm Shop are our favourites), the Giant Store is very welcoming/child friendly. There is an on site cafe (CAKE!) and a few bikes out for kids to try too, much to A's delight. My favourites were this 'women's specific' Liv mountain bike and Giant kid's trikes!

We finished our afternoon with a walk to soothe baby to sleep (didn't work at all) and a little ride on site for A on his bike. We loved the Giant store and will no doubt be regular visitors now. Mr. Waffle left with a new bike pump and a mental shopping list!
