HomeSense Lincoln - 1st Birthday Evening

I was recently invited to a blogger event at my local HomeSense store in the city of Lincoln. I love this store and we have been regulars since day one. I have written several posts now with HomeSense and it is one of my favourite shops in the world, I love looking for treasures in there and picking up some unique bargains. The Lincoln store opened a year ago, so in celebration of this a few bloggers were invited along for a child free browse this evening and even a little shopping! So yes, that's a child free evening, plus shopping and they even gave us cake - dreamy or what!? Here's a few shots from the store tonight that was looking fab and packed full with goodies. I was so excited I didn't buy a great deal (my head was spinning with things I wanted!) but I have lots on my list that will hopefully still be there at the weekend!

HomeSense is perfect for all my shabby chic needs and as I am obsessed with anything map/atlas related, they really tick every box at the moment. The autumn ranges include lots of lovely woodland animal type items like the beautiful fox cushion below, a badger one and stags galore, as well as lots of gorgeous copper, tweed and brown leather bits and pieces. It's all about cosyness, texture and warmth.

Halloween is only a few weeks away (I'll be posting about that too) and the store is packed with really cheap but very cool decorations, some of which you may even want to hang around well after Halloween!

While we were there we were wined and dined - but much better as it was a classic tea and cake vintage afternoon tea style spread, from Bunty's Tearooms nearby. The diet was well out the window and I had enough cake to feed a family of five for three days, but I'm happy and loved every mouthful - as good as it looks!

So there is the obligatory on site selfie from the evening, we were given giant tags to put on our favourite things - Bertie the bear just had to be a winner for me, I so wish I had picked him up now! The walls of the store were literally bulging with beautiful things tonight, I could have spent a small fortune and I know I will be back for more, probably at the weekend!

My favourite find of the evening had to be the fancy dress costumes including a burger - yes a burger! A banana split outfit for dogs and these gorgeous totally over-froo-frood amazing dresses, I absolutely love them and need them all! The Christmas range has emerged too and believe me - it's well worth a visit!

Thanks for having us HomeSense!
