New Shakes From Exante!

Having recently reviewed the brilliant Exante diet and products, I was asked to also trial a couple of their classic and most popular shakes, as well as their newly launched shake and smoothie too. The new items were a Chocolate Orange Milkshake and a Banana & Strawberry Smoothie. The classic shakes I tried were the Creamy Coconut shake and the Blueberry Smoothie.

Chocolate Orange Shake

The chocolate orange milkshake did not disappoint. It tasted exactly as I wanted it to - like a naughty Terry's Chocolate Orange style milkshake. It was really filling, I enjoyed every drop and my son was so insistent that it was a normal shake, he was determined to steal it! We shared. We both loved the flavour. I always add extra water to diet shakes so they feel more filling and I found this did not affect the flavour, it was still sweet and delicious. If I was buying a supply these would feature pretty heavily for a meal at least a few times a week! Totally delicious.

Strawberry & Banana Smoothie

I loved this smoothie too. Again, I added a little extra water to make it bigger and this didn't affect the taste, it wasn't watery at all and was actually really thick and tasty. I make a similar smoothie with my son and this was pretty close in taste but actually a lot nicer and a definitely more satisfying! I was surprised how fresh tasting this was for a packet mix smoothie, a definite plus point!

Creamy Coconut shake

Again, a lovely filling and delicious shake. This had the famous chocolate bar coconut taste and was nice and thick and felt really satisfying. I would buy this again, though I would always favor the chocolate ones - or maybe mix this with chocolate, that could be pretty good! If you like coconut, you will love this, there were no surprises just a tasty creamy meal shake.

Blueberry Smoothie

I'll start by saying I am not a fan of fake blueberry flavours. I love blueberries when they are nice and sour, but never  in flavour form. This smoothie was the most amazing lilac colour and I so wanted to love it so I could do pretty things with it next time - I had this one on a family day out so it was just in a mixer bottle - sorry.

Unfortunately, taste wise this one didn't do it for me, I found it really hard to drink and only actually managed half of it. It is just down to personal taste and unfortunately this is just one of those flavours I am not mad on, the blueberry pancakes were pretty similar for me too. I'm 99.9% sure I would like every other shake though going by the previous options! Having seen other feedback and scores, most people seem to love this one so it just goes to show how different our tastes can be.

All the Exante milkshakes were filling and packed full of goodness. They take seconds to prepare, are reasonably priced and won't leave you craving other foods afterwards. I know some people that just do the Exante shakes for every meal. I could happily do this for a few days but I would soon need to introduce some of their other foods with a savoury option, worth thinking about if you are ordering soon.

You can see the full range of Exante shakes on their website. Exante offer a huge variety of shake flavours, probably the biggest and most exciting I have seen such as Toffee Caramel, Lemon Cheesecake and Honeycomb. I need to try them all! Food that can help you get slim and healthy, really shouldn't be so tasty, it's pretty amazing!
